  16.    My ISP uses Racal Modems & just recently updated their modem code, As a
  17. result of this upgrade, it seems now that when I connect w/ my Sportster using
  18. at&f1 settings, I'll usally get a 26.4 connection, but during the connection,
  19. the ARQ light will flash quite a bit & if I'm playing descent via The Game
  20. connection, I'll get locked up.  (This was apparent before the upgrade & I
  21. would be able to fix it by forceing a lower connect rate via at&n11)
  22.    Well now if I init the modem with at&f1&n11, I'll get a connection message
  23. of CONNECT 21600/V34/NONE, and then proceed to get garbage & eventually hung
  24. up.
  25.    I've tried a number of things including s56=128, s54=96, s54=128, s27=32
  26. and I haven't been able to get a real 'lower but stable' connect.
  27.    I've tried a number of times to get Concentrics support staff to help, but
  28. to no avail, & I've faxed & emailed USR & haven't received any help either. In
  29. some research it seems USR suggested the s27=32 fix previously (935-307 was
  30. the USR reference # on it)
  31.    Has anyone else run into this problem? Or can anyone suggest any thing
  32. else to try? Thanks!
